 Unit 3 Brief Writing Activity:

 Business Buyers In this brief writing assignment, you will evaluate the four (4) different business markets identified in Chapter 8 — producer, reseller, government and institutional. List the categories of business buyers and provide a synopsis of each.

  Describe the purpose of the purchase with respect to resale, direct use in producing other products, and use in general daily operations. 

Name at least one business or organization (outside of your textbook) for each type. Be specific as why it fits. o If the business crosses over into more than one category, please describe fully. Does the business have multiple business units which sell to other businesses and consumer markets?

 As an example, Bombardier makes business jets and they also manufacture personal water craft and boats under the Sea-Doo brand name. 

Describe how the buying concerns of each type likely differ from companies that market directly to consumers as opposed to marketing to other businesses. 

Requirements: 

Prepare a quality, substantive paper that addresses the objectives of the assignment and the expectations set forth in the grading rubric.

  A minimum of 500 words excluding the title page and references is required. 

Support your answers with a minimum of three scholarly and/or professional sources that have been published within the past 5 years. 

Use APA format for sources, but APA formatting is not required for the paper. o Refer to APA Style and the Online Writing Center resources in Academic Resources for guidance citation formatting. 

Note: an abstract, introduction, and conclusion are not required for this assignment.
